WHAT OUR GUESTS HAVE TO SAY...
We had a great time. We especially
appreciated the kindness and care provided by Marion
and Ken. We had good weather (maybe too good)
and caught enough fish to keep us interested.
This
was the first trip for my daughter, Brianna - 11yrs,
and my niece, Nicole - 11yrs. They had better
luck than the old folks and they both got to help my
brother-in-law land his 17 lbs. pike. Her
biggest fish was 8.5 lbs. My wife's biggest fish
was 9 lbs ... although my wife has a 42" pike
on the wall that was 23 lbs.
We are already looking forward to planning
another trip ... maybe as soon as next year. I
have a 9 yr old that wants to come up next year when
she is 10 yrs old and your remodelled cabins impressed
my wife so, maybe we will bring the whole family.
In closing, we all had a great time and we will
definitely be back ... we now have our 4th generation
hooked on it.
I
have just returned from my 20th visit to Churchill
River Lodge (first visit in 1987). I am a member of
the Gordon Person party.
The
improvements to your facility were fantastic! We travel
to you Lodge to fish, relax, visit and enjoy the
country. Honestly, for our group the cabins had served
their purpose just fine so we were not that excited
when we hear about the planned improvements. But upon
our arrival we were amazed at the changes and commend
you on the well planned and executed work that has
been done. All of the changes made our visit much more
enjoyable.
The
real reason that I am dropping this note, however, is
to thank you for the presence at the Lodge of Marion
and Ken. The level of customer service shown us was
far beyond any reasonable expectation. From the moment
we arrived until we departed they were constantly
seeking our input, asking what they could do better or
differently and following through immediately on any
of our suggestions. They both went the extra mile in
very special ways.....arranging for a visit to the
fish processing plant, providing fresh baked treats
and introducing to us a trapper friend of theirs.
Coming from a business where customer service is
everything, I was simply
blown away by the natural and sincere manner in which
they made time in their very busy schedules to make us
feel like special and appreciated guests.
Please
accept my heartfelt thanks for making this first visit
to the "new" Lodge such a positive
experience. We certainly will be returning again next
June.

Hello Lyle and Marie:
We
are back home now and have to report to you that it was
a wonderful stay. Marion and Ken were fantastic hosts
and we enjoyed them very much. We had good weather all
week except for Fri. Rain , sleet, snow and hail,
but we still kept fishing.
The cabins are very nice , we were in # 2 and it was done
up very nice. We hope to be able to schedule for the
same time period next year! We hope to meet you guys in
the future. Thanks again and your caretakers are
fabulous and take good care of them.

Our stay at your lodge was enjoyable and comfortable.
Ken and Marion are wonderful, hard working folks who
were very friendly and accommodating. The updated cabins
are a definite improvement. The weather and water
conditions happened to be less than ideal this trip,
which led to us catching fewer large northern pike than
we have on some other trips. However, the action was
fairly steady, we had two meals of walleye at the cabin,
and we brought home our limit of northern and walleye.
Best of all, I was able to spend a week alone with my
son in a wilderness environment without the distractions
of work, television or cell phones. Finally, yes we do
have another great story about "the big one that got
away".
